How the rankings work

The lists on topfaves.net are ranked by visitor votes. Here is how each movie, TV show, person or place gets its position.

Who makes the lists

The topfaves.net team chooses the theme of each list and the items in it. Information about movies and TV shows comes from TMDb and Wikipedia, while the descriptions of places and people are written from public sources.

How you vote

Next to each item there are two buttons. The up arrow means you agree it deserves its place in the ranking, and the down arrow means you do not. You can vote without an account.

How the order is calculated

What counts is not only the percentage of positive votes, but also how many votes each item has. We use the Wilson score, a statistical method that favors reliable results. For example, a movie with 90 positive votes out of 100 ranks ahead of one with a single positive vote out of one. Items with no votes sit at the end of the list. Ties are sorted alphabetically by the Romanian names, so Topi and Topfaves keep the same ranking.

When it changes

The ranking updates after every vote. The “updated” date under the list title shows the latest change.

How to suggest something

If something is missing from a list, write to us using the “Any suggestions for this list?” form at the end of each list.
