Aichmophobia
Fear of needles and sharp objects
The Greek aichmē, “point”, gives its name to aichmophobia, an intense fear of sharp objects such as scissors, knives, needles or pencils. The term is sometimes also used for the fear of needles and injections, more precisely called trypanophobia. Like other specific phobias, it responds well to exposure therapy.
