Alfa Art Galleries in Bacău
Alfa Art Galleries are located on Mărășești Street in Bacău and host the temporary exhibitions organized by the Art Museum. The space came into museum use in 1965. Since then, works of painting, graphics and sculpture have been presented here, in solo or group exhibitions. Among the artists exhibited over time are Horia Bernea, Marcel Chirnoagă, Ion Sălișteanu and George Apostu.
The works change from one exhibition to another: some come from the museum's collections, others are brought for projects dedicated to contemporary artists. The galleries have also hosted Salonul Moldovei, an event associated with the region’s artistic life. Visitors see the exhibition currently on display, in premises separate from the other spaces of the Bacău museum complex.
