The American Staghound is a fast, agile and extremely hardy dog specially bred for hunting deer and large predators in North America. This breed is not officially recognized, being a hybrid selected on the basis of performance, combining the characteristics of the Greyhound, the Scottish Deerhound and other sighthounds.
