Anghel Saligny Silos in Constanța

Constanța, Constanța

The Anghel Saligny silos in Constanța Port were built between 1904–1909 and 1912–1915 by the engineer Anghel Saligny, according to the plans of the architect Petre Antonescu. They are 45 meters high.

Each silo has 250 reinforced concrete compartments, which could hold approximately 30,000 tons of grain. The brick facades have neoclassical elements, inspired by the American architecture of the time. The ensemble is a historical monument.
