The movie "Annie" 2014

Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) plays Annie, a child abandoned by her parents who struggles to make her way through the harsh streets of New York in 2014. When she was little, her parents left her with Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz), a cruel and greedy foster mother, promising to return for her one day. But the girl's fate changes when wealthy New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx), advised by his deputy Grace (Rose Byrne) and his crafty campaign manager Guy (Bobby Cannavale), takes in the little orphan as an electoral ploy. Stacks believes he is her guardian angel, but Annie's positive nature and faith in tomorrow might reverse their roles entirely.
