Arch of Triumph
The Arc de Triomphe is located in the north of Bucharest, in the square of the same name, near Kiseleff Street. The monument commemorates Romania's victory in the First World War and the coronation of King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. The current form, designed by the architect Petre Antonescu, was inaugurated on December 1, 1936.
On the facades you can see medallions, allegories of Victory and historical inscriptions, and under the arch the names of some battles are written. The exterior can be seen from the square. Visiting the interior spaces and the terrace depends on the openings announced by the administrator; check the official announcement before planning the climb.
