Art Museum in Satu Mare

The Satu Mare Art Museum is located at 21 Piața Libertății, in the Vécsey House, a neo-Gothic building from the second half of the nineteenth century. The building bears the commemorative plaque of the Peace of Satu Mare, made in 1911 by Aurel Popp.

The building has housed the exhibition dedicated to the Satu Mare painter Aurel Popp since 1969, and the museum’s main exhibition since 1985.
