ASUS

The name ASUS comes from Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology, keeping only the last four letters. The Taiwanese company was founded in 1989 in Taipei and launched its ZenFone phones in 2014, followed by the ROG Phone gaming series in 2018. In January 2026, ASUS announced that it would leave the phone business that same year.
