Băile Olănești

Vâlcea County, Romania

Băile Olănești, a town in Vâlcea county, stretches along the valley of the Olănești river, between wooded hills at the foot of the Carpathians. The resort developed around the mineral springs, whose waters have different compositions, and preserves a spa tradition of over a century.

The alleys follow the valley and connect the central area to the pavilions of the springs. Bath buildings, parks and rest areas appear along the route, framed by wooded slopes. The numbered springs are landmarks of the resort, and the center of the town runs on both sides of the river, between bridges and constructions for accommodation and treatment.
