Bălăceanu Court in Tătărăștii de Sus
Tătărăștii de Sus, Teleorman
The ruins of the fortified residence of the Bălăceanu family are located in the village of Tătărăștii de Sus, on the left bank of the Teleorman river. The locals call them "La Ziduri". The best preserved is the gate tower, made of brick, built on three levels.
The traces of the noble house, the church and the outbuildings were found in the premises. On the plaster of the tower you can see the trace of the roof of a wooden gazebo, used for guarding. The site is registered in the National Archaeological Directory.
