Banat Village Museum
The Banat Village Museum is located in Timișoara, near Pădurea Verde, and brings together rural constructions brought from several areas of Banat. The households, the church, the school, the town hall and the tavern form a museum village where the public buildings are arranged around a civic centre.
The houses preserve furniture, tools, fabrics and objects used in traditional households. Among the landmarks are the wooden church from Topla and houses that illustrate the Romanian communities and the other traditions of the region. Alleys connect the courtyards, annexes and gardens, and the open spaces are also used for fairs and ethnographic events.
