Bathmophobia

Bathmophobia

Fear of stairs or steep slopes
Stairs and steep slopes, such as a steep hill, are the source of bathmophobia, named after the Greek bathmos, “step”. People with it fear they will slip, fall and get hurt going up or down, and the phobia sometimes starts after an accident. The American diagnostic manual DSM-5 does not list it as a separate phobia, but psychotherapy can treat it.
