Batrachophobia

Batrachophobia

Fear of amphibians (frogs)
The Greeks called the frog batrachos, the word from which batrachophobia, the fear of amphibians and especially frogs, was formed. The term appears in a 1953 psychiatric dictionary, but specialists more often use the simple phrase “fear of frogs”. Some of those affected believe frogs are dangerous or even cursed.
