Bezid Lake
Bezidu Nou, Sângeorgiu de Pădure, Mureș
The Bezid reservoir is located near Sângeorgiu de Pădure, approximately 40 kilometers from Târgu Mureș. The village of Bezidu Nou was submerged beneath its waters in 1988, when the lake was built.
Only the village's Catholic church remained above the water. It collapsed in 2014 and was rebuilt with donations, in the same place, in the middle of the water. You can fish and go boating on the lake.
