The movie "Black Orpheus" 1959

The Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice moves to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro during Carnival, where two lovers run from a man dressed as Death. Breno Mello and Marpessa Dawn lead the film directed by Marcel Camus, with music by Luiz Bonfá and Antonio Carlos Jobim that introduced bossa nova to the world. It received the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 1960 ceremony. More »
