Bolii Cave
North of Petroșani, in Hunedoara county, the Bolii Cave opens in the limestone near the road to Hațeg. Jupâneasa Stream enters through a wide portal and crosses the main gallery, so the water remains present throughout the visit. The height of the vaults and the openness of the rooms allow you to see the walls shaped by the flow of water, without the narrow passages found in many other caves.
The tourist route follows the underground course and crosses the water on bridges. Some halls have hosted concerts and other events due to their space and acoustics. The Petro Aqua Association is in charge of promoting and maintaining the visitor facilities at the attraction. Access times may vary depending on the season, so it's worth checking before you go. For the wet floor and the difference in temperature from the outside, grippy shoes and a spare coat are suitable.
