Botoșani is the seat of the county of the same name, Moldavia, Romania. It is located in the southwestern part of Botoșani county, on the interfluve between the Sitna and Dresleuca rivers, to the west between Dresleuca and Siret, then descends between the Crivăț, Agafton, Baisa hills, with the Moldavian Platform beneath it.
