Braga is a city in northern Portugal known for its religious heritage and historic architecture. The cathedral and sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, with its monumental staircase and gardens, are important landmarks. Squares, pedestrian streets and baroque buildings complete the landscape of a city with roots in the Roman era.
