Cacica Salt Mine

At Cacica, in Suceava county, the entrance to the salt mine goes down a wooden staircase to the galleries dug in the salt. On the visiting route there is also the underground chapel, one of the spaces that distinguish this operation from other mines open to tourists. The walls retain the texture and color of the salt massif. Access involves going down and up 192 steps, an important detail for choosing footwear and for people who have difficulty walking. The administrator publishes separately the visiting conditions and changes to opening hours for each period.
