Calistrat Hogaș Memorial House
The Calistrat Hogaș Memorial House is at number 1 on the street named after the writer, in Piatra Neamț. Hogaș lived here from 1871, and his daughter, Sidonia, preserved the family’s belongings and organized a first exhibition in 1939. Later donated to the state, the house became a museum in 1969.
The six rooms display furniture, photographs, paintings, textiles and personal items. Among them are the writer's hat, compass and cape, as well as a mug with a mustache guard. The courtyard has a bust by Vasile Aciobăniței. The museum reopened in April 2025, after structural strengthening, restoration and conservation work on the historic building.
