Calvaria Church in Satu Mare

The Calvaria Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, stands on an artificial hill near the old northwestern bastion of the Sătmar fortress.

On this site, Bishop János Hám built a chapel for the Jesuit monks in 1844. Today's church has two towers on the facade and is a historical monument.
