Cancicov Park in Bacău

Bacău, Bacău

Cancicov Park in Bacău has 24.5 hectares and was laid out according to the plans of the landscape architect Eduard Pinard. The works began in 1935, and the park was officially established by royal decree on May 9, 1938.

Over time it was called Carol Park, Eminescu Park and Freedom Park. After 1989 it was named after the liberal Mircea Cancicov, whose bust is on the main avenue.
