Carolina Dog

The Carolina Dog ("American dingo" or "yellow dog") is a medium-sized primitive dog, sometimes found in the wild in the southeastern United States, in isolated pine forests and swamps. The AKC says it is descended from the dogs that accompanied the first people from Asia to the Americas across the Bering land bridge, and describes it as attentive, vigilant and confident. Not recognized by the FCI; AKC has it in the Foundation Stock Service.
