Casino in Slănic-Moldova
The casino in Slănic-Moldova is located near the Central Park and preserves the architecture of the period when the resort developed as a place of spa treatment and social gatherings for Moldavian society. Built between 1892 and 1894 to the design of architects George Sterian and H. Rick, the edifice housed cultural and entertainment activities. After 1948, the building was used as a house of culture.
The facade to the park has a gallery with arches, terraces and two towers that frame the central body. The decoration and silhouette of the building can be seen from the alleys of the park, without entering the casino halls. The visit described here looks at the exterior of the monument; tourist access inside must be confirmed separately.
