Ceaușescu House

Bucharest

The Ceaușescu House, also known as the Spring Palace, is located on Primăverii Boulevard no. 50 in Bucharest. Between 1965 and 1989 it was the private residence of Nicolae and Elena Ceaușescu. Built in the mid-1960s, the house was expanded between 1970 and 1972 and preserves interior arrangements made for the communist leader's family.

In the rooms you can see furniture made from several types of wood, tapestries, mosaics and a collection of Romanian paintings. The rich decor documents the way the family lived at their residence. The visit is made exclusively with a guide, based on an appointment or tickets bought online; the tour announced by the museum lasts about 45 minutes.
