Central Park in Șimleu Silvaniei

Șimleu Silvaniei, Sălaj

The Central Park in Șimleu Silvaniei occupies a space that, in 1772, was recorded as the town square. Fairs and public gatherings were held here. The transformation into a park began in 1950, when trees were brought from the forests on Măgura Șimleului.

The layout of 2009 outlined the four entrances that lead to the artesian fountain in the center. The entrances are marked by square columns with ornaments at the top, and the paths run through areas shaded by trees. The park is located on 1 Decembrie 1918 street, between the buildings of the old center, and retains the role of meeting and walking place of the city.
