Cezar Petrescu Memorial House
Cezar Petrescu Memorial House, on Tudor Vladimirescu Street no. 1 in Bușteni, is the house where the novelist Cezar Petrescu lived with his family between 1937 and 1961. The building was built in 1918 by lawyers Elena and Dionisie Hobilescu. The museum opened in 1967 and is a section of the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology.
At the entrance are the statues of Horia, Cloșca and Crișan, given to the writer by the sculptor Oscar Han, and paintings by Iser, Jiquidi and Demian. The house preserves furniture made in folk style, ceramics from Transylvania and a library of over 10,000 volumes. On the second floor you can see the winter office, with the writer's work table, and the veranda where he wrote in the summer.
