Cinciș Lake

Lake Cinciș lies in Teliucu Inferior commune, near the city of Hunedoara, in Hunedoara County. The reservoir occupies a valley surrounded by hills, with wooded banks and inlets that follow the old side valleys. Around it lie the village of Cinciș-Cerna and several tourist facilities.

The lake was created by building a dam, which required relocating several villages in the valley. Beaches and recreational areas are concentrated on the northern shore, while hills and forest predominate to the south. Species such as carp, pike and zander live in the water, and the extent of the reservoir changes with the water level.
