Coimbra is a city in central Portugal, situated on the Mondego River and known for its university tradition. The University, the Joanina Library and the Old Cathedral are among the main landmarks. Sloping streets, historic courtyards and gardens complete the atmosphere of a city where student life meets cultural heritage.
