Cuibul Visurilor Museum

The Cuibul Visurilor Museum is located in Maieru commune, Bistrița-Năsăud county, in the Someșul Mare valley. The collection links local history and traditions to Liviu Rebreanu's childhood and work. Furniture, books and letters that belonged to the writer are kept here.

The ethnographic section includes icons, dowry chests and pieces of clothing from the Upper Someș Valley. Other exhibits document the local past, including through archaeological finds and documents. Pieces from the Roman period are also exhibited, and the literary collection includes first editions of Rebreanu's books. Part of the collection came from donations.
