Danube Promenade in Brăila

The Danube waterfront offers a perspective on Brăila directly connected to the river. The walkways, esplanade and openings to the water allow for a walk where the harbor landscape changes from one vantage point to another. It is a good place to look at the opposite bank, the boats and the way the city approaches the Danube. The route can be covered in sections, depending on the time available and the weather.

In the area of the esplanade is the Kinetic Fountain made by the sculptor Constantin Lucaci, whose metal elements are part of the landscape even when the installation is not working. Photo stops can alternate with walking along the promenades. Openings to the river and planted spaces offer different perspectives on the bank, and the functioning of the fountains depends on local conditions.
