Dealul Negru Chairlift in Vatra Dornei

The Dealul Negru chairlift starts from Negrești street in Vatra Dornei and goes up the northern slope of the mountain. The ride uses open chairs with two seats each, above the slope and the edges of the forest. As the installation gains altitude, the city remains in the valley, between the wooded peaks of the Dornelor depression.

From the upper area, views open to the depression and to the Rodnei and Călimani Mountains. The facility is used both in winter, for access to the ski area, and in the warm season, for panoramic climbs. The top station is near pastures and cottages. Being an outdoor installation, operation depends on weather conditions and operator decisions; this is confirmed before travel.
