Deerhound

Deerhound

United Kingdom (Scotland)
The Deerhound (Scottish Deerhound) is a very large, coarse-haired Scottish sighthound, bred for centuries to hunt red deer. The FCI standard says that it resembles a rough-haired sighthound, larger and more heavily boned, and that it combines speed, strength and endurance with a gentle dignified demeanor. It is gentle, friendly, obedient and never suspicious, aggressive or nervous.
