Descent of the Holy Spirit Church in Rădăuți
Rădăuți, Suceava
The Orthodox Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, also called the Rădăuți cathedral, was built between 1927 and 1961 in the city's central park. It is 60 meters long, 50 meters high and is built in a neo-Byzantine style, with elements from Moldavian churches.
Because the ground was soft, the foundation was reinforced with a five-meter thick reinforced concrete slab. The fresco painting was done between 1959 and 1960, and the church was consecrated on Pentecost, May 28, 1961.
