Dormition of the Mother of God Church – Drujești

The Assumption Church – Drujești is in Curtea de Argeș and is also known as the Old Drujești parish. Its history is linked to the Druja family, and documents place it at the end of the eighteenth century, between 1793 and 1795. The masonry church is mentioned later in the city's historical registers.

Early painted decoration is preserved in the narthex, while the decoration of the nave belongs to later interventions. The building has suffered fires and undergone repairs, including after the roof was destroyed in 1872. The pulpit and painting were restored towards the end of the nineteenth century. After periods of closure and of serving as a branch church, the church became an independent parish again.
