Dormition of the Mother of God Church in Zalău
Zalău, Sălaj
The Assumption Church in Zalău was built by the Greek-Catholic community in the early 1930s, at the initiative of Archpriest Traian Trufaș, former member of the Romanian Great National Council.
The foundation was consecrated on June 13, 1930, and the church, on September 9, 1934, by Bishop Valeriu Traian Frențiu. It is a historical monument.
