Dormition of the Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Slănic-Moldova

The Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Slănic-Moldova is located on Nicolae Bălcescu Street, at number 28. The current building was built between 1994 and 1999 and consecrated on June 12, 1999 by Bishop Petru Gherghel. The parish serves the Catholic community of the resort, formed with the development of the spa town.

The building is recognizable by its steeply pitched roof, triangular facade and thin tower that extends its silhouette towards the forest. Inside, the wooden structure of the roof remains visible above the rows of pews and the altar. As this is an active place of worship, respect services and parish guidance when entering or taking photographs inside.
