Emperor Trajan Hotel in Corabia

Corabia, Olt

The former Împăratul Traian Hotel is one of Corabia's well-known historical buildings. The facades with arches and loggias illustrate neo-Romanian architecture, in a city that developed with the activity of the Danube port. The building stands out for its volumes and for the decor that can be seen from the public space.

The stop is suitable for a walk dedicated to the architecture of the city: you can follow the shape of the windows, the rhythm of the arches and the connection of the building with the street. The name preserves the memory of the former hotel function. The visit looks at the exterior of the monument, visible from the street; tourist access inside must be confirmed separately.
