Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania
The Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania has its headquarters in Reduta Palace, on Memorandumului Street in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County. The institution was founded in 1922 and holds collections on the life of Transylvanian communities. In 1894, the building hosted the Memorandum trial, an important episode in the history of Romanians in Transylvania.
The collections include costumes, fabrics, ceramics, furniture, tools and objects used for celebrations. Occupations such as agriculture, shepherding and crafts are represented, along with the furnishing of a traditional home. The open-air section, Romulus Vuia Park, is in another part of the city.
