Evangelical Church in Făgăraș
The evangelical church in Făgăraș was built between 1841 and 1843, with the financial support of Carl von Brukenthal. It is a classical-style hall church, with a tower raised above the facade facing the square. Inside, older pieces have been preserved, including the baptismal font and the baroque canopy above the pulpit, along with epitaphs and a statue of the apostle Paul.
The organ made by Wilhelm Hörbiger in 1878 is located above the entrance. The church also houses an organ built by Johannes Prause in the late eighteenth century, brought in 1995 from Felmer, together with a reading desk. These pieces show the connections between the evangelical communities in the surroundings of Făgăraș. Access to the interior is determined according to the activity of the religious community.
