Feldioara Fortress
Feldioara, Brașov County
Feldioara Fortress, also called Marienburg, stands on a hill in Feldioara, Brașov County. Its history is linked to the Teutonic Knights, who were present in Țara Bârsei in the thirteenth century.
Between 2012 and 2017, the fortress was restored: the walls and towers were rebuilt, and the older remains were preserved. In the inner courtyard, the outlines of former buildings, including the chapel, are marked on the ground. From the hilltop you can see the village and the surrounding area.
