Field Spaniel

The Field Spaniel is a medium-sized English spaniel with a long, glossy, silky black or liver coat. It was formed at the end of the nineteenth century and came close to disappearing twice. The standard describes him as unusually docile, active, sensitive and independent, and the AKC says he is very easy to train.
