Firefighters' Tower in Satu Mare

The Firemen's Tower rises in the center of Satu Mare and recalls the time when the city was watched for fires from above. It was built in 1904, according to Ferenc Dittler's design, at the initiative of Bishop Gyula Meszlényi, to oversee the roofs and streets of the city.

The building is about 47 meters high and has a slender body, ending with an observation platform. The brick facade and balustraded upper part make it easily recognizable among the surrounding buildings.
