Florica Villa – Brătianu National Museum

Ștefăneștii Noi, the town of Ștefănești · Argeș

Vila Florica, from Ștefăneștii Noi, the town of Ștefănești in Argeș county, houses the Brătianu National Museum. The residence of the Brătianu family was one of the places linked to the political life of modern Romania. The building with a semi-basement and upper floors, surrounded by the park, preserves salons, libraries and rooms dedicated to family members.

The museum circuit follows the history of the house and the activity of Ion C. Brătianu, Ion I.C. Brătianu and their relatives. Documents, photographs, medals and period furniture are grouped in reception rooms and former workspaces. The suspended library and Ionel Brătianu's office are landmarks of the interior architecture. A large part of the old inventory of the residence has been lost, and the current exhibition reconstructs the story of the family through documents, images and objects gathered in the rooms of the former residence.
