Fortified Church in Fișer

Fișer, Rupea, Brașov

The fortified church in Fișer, a village that belongs to the city of Rupea, has a single-nave church from the fifteenth century in the center. At the beginning of the sixteenth century it was surrounded by an oval enclosure with loopholes and defense towers.

The bell tower with a baroque roof was erected in 1862, in place of the old gate tower. Inside, the organ made by Samuel Maetz in 1825, a sixteenth-century baptismal font and wooden galleries painted with flowers are kept.
