Fortified Church in Viscri
The fortified church of Viscri rises on a hill in the village of Viscri, Bunești commune, Brașov county. The ensemble with white walls, towers and tiled roofs developed around a medieval church. The church was extended and fortified by the Saxon community, and the main tower was integrated into the defense of the enclosure.
The courtyard and the rooms of the fortification hold objects related to village life, traditional dress and Saxon households. From the towers you can see the houses along the streets and the surrounding hills. The church is part of the group of Transylvanian fortified monuments on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
