Fortified Evangelical Church in Rupea

Rupea, Brașov

The Evangelical Church in Rupea is a Gothic hall church from the fifteenth century, in the town at the foot of the fortress. The windows retain stone frames, and the ensemble was strengthened with defensive walls.

Inside, the coffered ceiling replaced the old vault and has a renovation inscription from 1713. The organ gallery was painted in 1727. Fragments of a fresco, a Gothic tabernacle and oriental carpets are also preserved.
