Franz Beckenbauer

Franz Beckenbauer was a German footballer known for his elegance, composure and the way he started attacks from the defense. He became a symbol of Bayern Munich and the position of libero, the defender who covered the spaces behind his teammates. He won the 1974 World Cup as a player and the 1990 World Cup as coach of West Germany. Nicknamed "The Kaiser", he combined defensive reliability with passing and forays to help the team move forward.
