George Best was a Northern Irish footballer famous for his dribbling, speed and ball control. He became one of the big names of Manchester United, with whom he won the European Champions Cup in 1968, also scoring in the final against Benfica. In the same year he received the Ballon d'Or. He played on the wings or in attack and could beat opponents with quick changes of direction, keeping the ball close to his feet even in tight spaces.
